Celebrate America’s agriculture success with
Food Check-Out Week!
Following Valentine's weekend, the Montgomery County Farm Bureau will celebrate America’s true love – food. Based on Agriculture Department statistics, FB’s Food Check-Out Week —seven weeks into the year—marks the date when average Americans will have earned enough income to pay for their entire year’s food supply. In recognition of Food Check-Out Week, Montgomery County Farm Bureau is donating to the local food bank in Conroe. The local food bank takes the donations and transfers them in usable quantities to over 36 non-profit agencies in Montgomery County.
“We remain concerned that some Americans cannot afford to buy the food that they need, but we are proud of the role Texas farmers play in producing the most affordable food in the world,” said Montgomery County Farm Bureau President, Stuart Traylor. |
